Hawddamor, chwi sanctaidd Ferthyron,
Mor ddisglair a gwychion eich gwedd!
Dihangol uwch stormydd croch, geirwon,
Mor hafaidd yw hinon eich hedd!
Mor iraidd yw'ch palmwydd a gwyrddion,
A'ch gwisgoedd mor wynion, mor lân;
Mor beraidd a chyson yng ngwiwnef
Yw tannau a goslef eich cân!
O Iesu, os rhaid
imi ddioddef
Arteithiau y cleddyf, neu'r tân,
Wrth dystio dros d'air bendigedig
A'th Eglwys Gatholig a Glân;
Rho nerth imi
yfed y chwerwder
O'r cwpan yn amser fy Nuw,
A derbyn fy enaid i'r bywyd,
I wynfyd dwg f'ysbryd i fyw.
I'r Drindod Fendigaid ein moliant
A rown, a gogoniant ar gân;
I'r Tad ac i'r Mab cyd-dragwyddol,
I'r Ysbryd sancteiddiol a Glân:
Fel gynt, cyn rhoi
sylfain y bydoedd,
O'r dechrau yr oedd, ac mae'n awr,
Y bydd eu pêr fawl
yn oes oesoedd
Yn seinio trwy nefoedd a llawr.

Tonau [9898D]: |
Hail, ye holy Martyrs,
How radiant and brilliant your condition!
Safe above rough, angry storms,
How summery is the climate of your peace!
How fresh are the palms and green,
And your garments so white, so clean;
How sweet and constant in worthy heaven
Are the strings and tone of your song!
O Jesus, if it is necessary
for me to suffer
The tortures of the sword or the fire,
While witnessing to thy blessed word
And thy Holy and Catholic Church;
Grant strength for me
to drink the bitterness
From the cup in the time of my God,
And receive my soul to the life,
To blessedness lead my soul to life.
To the Blessed Trinity our praise
Let us render, with glory in song;
To the Father, and to the Son co-eternal,
To the Holy and sacred Spirit:
As it was, before the setting
of the foundations of the worlds,
From the beginning it was, and is now,
Their sweet praise shall be
forever and ever
Sounding throughout heaven and earth.
